Each terminal has an information center that include computer kiosks with travel information. There is usually an attendant there answer questions or help book transportation
Newark taxis do NOT accept credit cards, so have cash handy if you want to take a local taxi. A taxi from EWR to Manhattan will usually cost between $50 and $75
The NJ Transit train or the Olympia bus are the two cheapest ways to get to NYC. The NJ Transit will cost $12.50 and the Olympia bus costs $15. Check the in-flight magazine, it often has coupons for the Olympia bus
NYC taxis can drop passengers off at EWR, but they cannot pick them up. If you want to take a taxi into NYC, you need to take a Newark taxi
Each terminal has a separate baggage claim area for oversized luggage such as golf clubs or skis. There are plenty of signs at Newark that should make it easy to find baggage claim or transportation
